We cover what's happening on the island (blackouts, the economic crisis, human rights, protests and repression), Cuban community life in South Florida and Cuban entertainment.

Every story is checked against official documents, primary sources and firsthand accounts. When something can't be independently verified, we say so in the story, and opinion is always labeled as opinion. We are an independent digital outlet founded in 2011 that takes no funding from any government.
